Nass Wedding | A sentimental wedding focused on love and family

Marlana and Mike had a beautiful wedding celebration with their four children and loving families. It was so wonderful to see two sides of a family come together and so perfectly become one. The newlyweds shared what they love about each of their children at the reception and brought some tears to the eyes of their guests as they described what it means to have these incredible bonus children in their lives.

They all put so much thought into their wedding day. There was one sentimental element after another as the day went on. There’s no doubt these two are romantics and will forever be full of only the best surprises for each other. From the story of the rings (read about it on their engagement blog…trust me, it’s worth the click!) to the paper airplane decorations reminiscent of love notes, the sentimental jewelry, 100 year old lace, handmade bride’s dress, special song selections, a surprise first dance, hand crafted unity puzzle, and the adorable cake baked and decorated by the bride’s 9 year old niece…this wedding was FULL of amazing and thoughtful details that truly made it truly special for everyone involved.

I felt so lucky to be a part of it and hope to see the Nass family in front of my camera again someday!

Some of the 100 year old lace from great grandma’s wedding dress in the bouquets designed by their daughter Adelyn. More was used in the bride’s dress, which was made by her mom!

This little cutie (Christian, the bride’s nephew) turned 3 on their wedding day!

They actually surprised him with his very own birthday cake later in the evening.

Mike made this puzzle and Marlana wrote the names. They did a wonderful job!

Mike is a pilot and the two met at the airport where they both worked. Marlana would write him love notes on paper airplanes. I love that they incorporated them into their decorations!

The rings are sitting on a propeller that they used as their guest book! How cool to have signatures from all of their loved ones on it.

I can’t believe Maya, who is only NINE years old, made this beautiful wedding cake! It was delicious too!

This was the family’s first time seeing it! I’d say they were as impressed as I was. :)

Marlana and Mike took lessons and surprised the audience with a choreographed dance. It was so cool!

Without a doubt the best father/daughter dance ever. Mike and Maggie rocked it out on the dance floor and the smile on her face was priceless.
